So, you guys…I’M A FREAKING AUTHOR! There will be more on my ‘squees’ and my ‘eeps’ and my ‘aghs’ later, but for now, I just wanted to let you know that Finding Home is officially on sale, and I’m really excited about it.
I will post in more detail later, but so you know so far, I have had: All. The. Feels. In the eight-hour countdown to official on sale time, I have had the following thoughts:
‘What if everyone hates it?’
‘What if my mum hates it?’
‘There’s sex in it! I don’t want anyone I know to read it.’
‘There’s sex in it. I want everyone I know to read it.’
‘AGH! Does this mean I can put ‘Author’ down as my occupation when I fly internationally?’
‘I’m not even that excited. I should feel something more.’
‘Should I leave work when I go on sale and drink champagne?’
‘Oh my gosh. Why did I want to be published? This is a bad idea. I’m going to get SLAMMED in reviews.’
‘Should I eat a block of chocolate to see if it makes me less nervous?’*
As you can see, I’m pretty calm, cool and collected about it all. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that my book is on sale, thanks to the lovely folks at Escape Publishing, and I feel something/everything about it.
*The answer was, no, I shouldn’t have, but sadly yes, I did. I ate a block of chocolate and it definitely made me MORE anxious/excited/hyperactive.
